    switch nut

    what would be the correct tool to tighten the switch nut without damaage

    I have a piece of leather that the rough side has quite a long "pile"....I just use my fingers with that over the nut and grip it hard. The leather grips the nut, job done. I have used needle nosed pliers with tape around the nose. The leather works better for me.

    I use my fingers. Can’t over tighten it which can cause the pocket chip to crack. I really like the leather suggestion though. I plan to try it.

    There is a StewMac adjustable tool that I regularly use to loosen switch nuts which have become immovable from
    sweat/grime/years of play.
    When used properly, you'll never have to worry about those pliers getting away from you & messing up the top.
    For tightening the nut, I like leather..........
