• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I guess the title says it. I've seen the video on the Gibson website announcing the release, but no pricing or availability. Searched a couple of LPF sponsor sites and nothing there either. For me, The Trini Lopez model brings back memories of being a kid and wanting to trade my SG for that cool guitar with bound diamond f-holes and six on a side tuners.

I love the Trini Lopez model. Wanted one since I was 14. Missed out on vintage ones but picked up a 2014 reissue used. The reissue has standard Gibson neck width unlike the majority of thin necked originals but it lacks the binding around the sound holes. I love mine, here's a pic:

I think the new reissue now has the binding in the diamond holes no?

I have a 1964 Trini that my dad paid 700 for in the late 70's- It has an abr1 instead of the original trapeze and grovers installed. Basically the spec the Dave Grohl model is based on- I think its much better this way, stays in tune etc and these can be had for a couple thousand more than the RI, compared to 10k plus for one with all original hardware.
