• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

it's a made up term the custom shop came up this year to use as a replacement term for cherry sunburst with the dye they're using now..

Additionally it’s the only finish to use an enhancer to “stop” the flame “in pose”

There were also special runs of Factory Burst LPs that were done a few years ago before this year

My 2014 R9 is in Factory Burst from Dave's and the color is more close to Jimmy Page's iconic Les Paul not like a Heritage Cherry Sunburst .

Is this an enhanced flame using a die to make it "pop"?

I had a Carvin with that type of process and, though the flame was strong, it didn't move when I tilted the guitar. It had otherwise interesting flame that was made very "flat" looking.
