Hello,
I own a 2018 LP Classic P90 Goldtop. The stock Gibson p90's, (particularly the neck), are very wooly, lack definition, and are hard to dial in a tone I can get along with. Also the neck is significantly louder than the bridge even with pickup heights adjusted to attempt a better balance. The rest of this guitar, I LOVE.
Has anyone tried the Bareknuckle Bootcamp Old Guard p90s. Curious how they stack up to the stock Gibsons. Any other recommendations to fix my problems? Other pickups that might be better balanced and a bit more defined, less low end.
I have played the Lollar p90s ing a Collings and they sounded great, but are $$$ and didn't seem to have what I was after.
Thanks for your response in advance!
