• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

This post would be better suited for the '52 through '60 Les Paul Pub.

Sounds great my dude! Nothing like an old LP Jr. Makes you work that tone knob, rather than rely on pickup switching. Good stuff!

You don't realize how much you rely on pickup switching until you run an old single pickup guitar. They SLAY, but you have to wield your weapon like an expert. Some may say it limits your versatility. But the single pickup guitars are a fucking workhorse if you're able to rock your tone knob all night for a gig. (My SG Jr from '67 is my favorite of my Gibsons). You get that great vintage wood and vintage Gibson tone, without taking out a mortgage :hank
Rock on my brother!!! :dude::dude:
