• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Identifying color and year of les paul traditional. Iced tea burst really?

I don't think the color is coded into the serial number.
But, if you call Gibson with the serial number they should be able to tell you what color it is supposed to be.

And, it would really help if you added photos. Colors are hard to talk about when we can't see the guitar. :ganz

Do you like it? Is the color appealing or do you just wish to argue with the seller? Buy it and call it whatever you please or don't, it isn't a thing but a descriptive term of a faded cherry burst or the several shades of modern replicants.

Have you seen it in person or just pictures? If you have the model code from the case candy paperwork, along with the serial number it often shows finish designation. IDR but it is like lpstdtdchHSB???
the HSB indicating finish.

The guitar is lightburst. Looks really nice although i was looking for an Iced Tea burst. Pitty!
