• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I couldn't find any previous reference but this photo of a 20 year old Bruce, which would make it 1969, playing what looks to be a Burst?

Jimmy Page morphed into Bruce Springsteen so slowly, I hardly even noticed. :laugh2:

Definitely not a Burst.
Most likely a 68 or 69 Goldtop. :ganz

Right on the button, Tom. He owned and played a 69 Goldtop deluxe with mini buckers back circa 1970. This was during the Steel Mill days IIRC.

I believe that he may have put larger humbuckers in that guitar later on, but I am not 100% sure.

I found this photo on the web.

You would think with all the albums, concert tickets and merchandise he's sold over the many years of his career, that he'd be able to afford more than one outfit.
