• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Didn't the Pawn Stars get burned on the purchase of the Mary Ford guitar? Or was it Cowtown Guitars?

If the story [about how all that ended up] is true [as written in VG magazine cover story], I'd say the collector that bought it was burned, if anybody was. Only time will tell.

If I was the guy who sold it to the Pawn Stars, I would have laughed all the way to the bank and never looked back. :ganz

yep....I recall watching that Pawn Stars episode where the Mary Ford guitar was brought in by one of her nephews, and I think he sold it for more than $100K based on Cowtown's in-hand appraisal. That has to be an all time high $$ for a Gibson SG. :dang
