• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Had the real joy to ride this 1953 Les Paul Goldtop the other day in my studio. An old friend who has been generous enough over the years to sell me pieces of his remarkable collection has had this fiddle as his main player for many decades. Hopefully someday I can play this one regularly. I sold my super clean 1954 LPGT a few years back and miss it dearly. He did pass along a 1961 ES-335 to me while he was here :peace2. I wil post pics of that beauty eventually!

Enjoy the 53 LP and apologies in advance for the cell phone PICs.... my daughter had hidden my camera from me so to speak.... :dang

It is there albeit not right at the surface. The bushings got longer as the years went on. Circa 1957 if I am not mistaken.

Not if you like duplicating a Tele. I prefer P90's WAY up next to them wire thingies myself. But I am an idiot, so there's that...
