The Top Gear Music FB page is bringing people together who were around and in the thick of things when a lot of the London/ 60s and 70s history discussed on this forum played out as normal daily occurrences.
This post from an ex Sound City & Top Gear employee mentions ex Selmers salesman and later Sound City deputy manager Jimmy Nolan selling a Les Paul to Eric Clapton. Nolan is a verifiable figure in the 60s West End retail scene as his signature appears on a number of Hendrix/ Sound City receipts from '67. No idea if Mr Nolan is still with us but it's interesting that personal snippets like this are coming to light.
