The more I play this particular Strat, the more I fall in love with it. And I say that not for it's looks at all. It is the tone that I love so much with this instrument. The sound of this is closer to a slab board Strat than a Maple board and it must be due to the combination of the roasting of the maple neck along with the Walnut/Butternut body and the particular pickups installed. The "4" position on this one just sounds amazingly good. :yah It makes me wonder now how some of the other Artisan Strats would compare in terms of tone.
