• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

That used all the too's! I think I got it write...

New amp. Badass. B&G Prototype. Only it's not as they are making 100 of them. This is Number 005. Did a world tour.

The insides are all NOS parts. I have not removed the chassis yet, so I do not know what type.

The amp is hard to put your finger on. The closest thing I can think of is my Tweed Pro. Clean and almost Bassman like. Except it also feels like a Blackface Deluxe with a bit of Voxish sparkle. It is definitely nice sounding. Definitely unique sounding. Specializes in clean. Two 10" Jensens at 4 ohms. 20 Watts.

That thing in the above picture is a strap to hold the pedal during tours.

You can see the usual off/standby/on, Volume, Bass, Middle, Treble. The reverb has a Dwell which kinda changes it from small to large hall. There are also switches for Dirty/Clean and Normal/Nasty. They are also covered by the footswitch. Nice!

RAWK!!

The top radius is not vintage correct, so -10% for pseudo-vintagey geekness factor. :dude:

I actually have stopped shopping some time ago. This amp has been on order a LOOOOONG time. I was beginning to wonder if it would ever get here. I had it back in January I think, but it needed a little love after being shipped to NAMM and whatnot. Well worth the wait though. It is nice having one which is brighter and a little more 'blackface Fender' than a tweed (which I have many of) but not quite as crystalline as a Matchless. They did a very good job on this.

I got #18 today.

I couldn't stop playing it-- it was like that.

I'd say its got the most luscious WARM clean sound of any amp that I've played. It approximates some fender clean but there is more bassy warm tones in it to my ears? there is just nothing harsh about it... it makes your spine tingle

here's what my thoughts are.... of course these things are all subjective!!@

The pull out gainy thing that happens with the volume knob sounded harsh and annoying and I'll probably not use it.

The dirty boost is just like putting on a nice clean boosty pedal, like a KLON with the gain way down the the volume up a little bit

The Angry switch makes it a little more overdriven. Both together are like a nice JUST SO gainy sound-- but this is no marshall (like the Mercury V that halfway through your gain options you are like alrady tearing the paint off the walls.... have i mentioned how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE that amp?

Its got a nice volume sweep-- like at say 10 oclock it still sounds good but it can be played at bedroom volume- at 2 oclock its loud but are not blasting your ears... and fuill up its loud enough to make good noise and your wife complain (some day somebody should have an amp that has that level "wife will complain" level

the reverb sounds really fantastic and the dwell knob is great to have.

the amp is so beautiful with all the brass stuff.

I'm really really really really happy I got one. I would say that it was worth the money. It begs to be played and it is just so sweet!

I'd try like hell to get one if you are on the fence. I'd bet they haven't sold all 100...

keep in mind I put in my deposit in February.... but its worth the wait!
