Hi friends,

Recently purchased one of the new Brazilian Goldtop Reissues. Love it! Was fortunate enough to A/B against a couple other Braz GTs, and this was the one for me. :hank

One item I wanted to note/inquire about is the neck pup’s surround is not flush to the body. This is my second LP, so I am not sure if this is normal? I am not too concerned about it but would be if it worsened over time. Bridge pup’s surround is nice and flush. See below photos.

That’s the knees. I wouldn’t be so concerned about pickup height. No hard and fast rules, but rest assured they’ll never need to be elevated because of a crappy USA LP neck angle. Love that Goldtop.

The maple top is curved, the ring is not, nothing more to it. Great looking guitar.

Nice! I have one coming today that I bought from Sweetwater. Always wanted a Brazilian Goldtop. One of the dealers I shopped said Gibson is making 100 of these for 2018. Anyone confirm?
