• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Identify this Burst, please. #1

Here's a new feature, where I post Burst photos [that I have little or no info on] and ask you all to help identify them.

Here's #1, identified only as "an early 60" Burst:

Okay Burst detectives, let's see if we can get this one identified. :salude

Might as well hit the other two. Did the shorter tenon or double ring tuners correspond with the color or knob change?

It doesn't seem like any of these changes were coordinated.
The color change seemed to start with some 0-1400 Bursts, but 0-2000 Bursts are often the older color. Then the 0-7000 and later series seem to be predominantly the new cherry red.
I think the last change was the keys, right after the knobs.
I don't know when the tenon length changed.
But those were made by different companies and again, not likely to be coordinated.

Things happened when they happened [just like Astron caps in some 60 Bursts]. :ganz
