Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
Looks like a 1993 1960 Classic ...one of the ‘Premium’ upgrade models. Knobs changed from tophat to reflectors. Pickguard would have foil-printed ‘1960’. Truss rod cover also would have script ‘Classic’ engraving.
Correct. The early versions also had uniform binding width...even in the cutaway.
During the years following 1993, Gibson changes included wide binding in cutaway, snot-colored inlays, Nashville bridge, ‘Classic’ substituted for ‘Model’ on headstock face.
Following 2000, snot-inlays went away, thin cutaway binding and, ‘Model’ came back. Bodies went to 2 pieces after 2000 but I cannot recall the year.
