• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I cayan't hear me either in my head. My hearing aids stopped working and they says they use batteries. I would get some but I hear you need 'a salt' with batteries so I am currently looking for my shaker. It is lost. But I'm not sure whether I heard that as my hearing aids are not working. I'm sure there is a woman to blame, cayan't be my own damn fault.

Single-ended amps used wide open is “the tone”. These clips sound very much like my little Swart and the my old EC Vibrochamp.

I love my little overpriced Fender 57 Custom Champ (I got mine used so I didn’t pay full price). But I get the feeling that most of the recorded tweed champ tones we know and love are a Champ with a 12ax7, not a 12ay7. Sounds better with an old RCA 12ax7 IMHO.
