• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I've had around 20 Melody Maker's over the last 48 years. This one and another that I foolishly sold in 1982 are pretty incredible. Most of the one's I have had were great, but this one is an exception as it kicks. Loads of sustain, rings like a bell. Alot to be said for 3 pieces of wood. The pickups are early T-Tops. Neck is 7.2K and the bridge is 7.6k both have ThroBak Alnico IV magnets. I'll take a T-Top any day over a "Custombucker". Neck is wide and semi-flat on the back sort of like early `60's SG's.
