    Custombucker Magnet Swaps?

Anyone tried swapping mags on the CB's? Would like a little more low end in the bridge for a more percussive thump when palm muting the low strings. Right now it's more scratch than thump. Wouldn't mind trading off a tad of the extended highs for a bit more balls. For those that have experimented, what magnet types worked well with the CB's? The neck is perfect, thinking about the bridge

There's a thread about this in the pickups/speakers pub.
You could try an A5 in the bridge and see where that takes you........it's a very meaty magnet compared to the others.

I have a 2019 R7 and found this thread for the same reasons as the OP. Neck with an A3 is really good (to me) but I need more oomph. I’ve never loved A2s in bridge (except for semi hollows) and think a UOA5 is going to find its way into my bridge spot at next Sting change.
