Custom shop R8 les Paul WITH HISTORIC MAKEOVER standard process including neck recarve to exact original 59 shape and specs, with grovers and bone nut.
The Artisan historic makeovers team have lovingly crafted this stunningly beautiful Cherry Sunburst guitar to look like an aged 50’s Les Paul with an authentic 59 ‘c’ profile neck with roll off at binding.
The guitar has been finished with a light level of aging and distress work including weather checking which is JUST Breathtaking…..
Upgraded appointments (work done by Kim and the team at HM's) include kidney bean Grover tuners, bone Nut, Vintage correct 1” Retrospect steel tailpiece bushings and steel studs.
The guitar started as a 2012 Gibson Custom Shop 58 historic & comes with Burst Bucker's, historic series caps, CS hardcase, authenticity certificate, paper work & tags etc as well as the Historic Makeovers certificate.
This is a beautiful guitar, very resonante and lively when strummed accoustically and all the growl, grit and bite we all love from vintage sounding Les Pauls when cranked through a great amp.
Guitar is located in Australia but I will ship t US with full insurance & tracking.
Due to the strength of the US dollar against the AUD this is a great bargain for US buyers.
The historic makeovers process includes gentle aging and weather checking and the below:
REFINISHED: Strip and complete refinish with aniline dyes and nitro-cellulose lacquer, Authentic fading, light distressing and genuine weather checking of finish restamp serial number with original 50s typeface
RESHAPED: Neck shaped to original 59 profile "C" with period correct roll-off at binding
REPLACED: 50s style Cellulose Nitrate Inlays
REDONE: Authentic and period correct carve of the maple top.
