The day before yesterday, I switched on my 1968 Fender Vibro Champ and..............nothing. The pilot lamp was lit. I looked behind inside my amp and the on filament that was lit was the rectifier tube. Today, I opened up my amp and traced the filament wire to the pilot lamp bayonet connector. I then got my soldering iron, heated it up and then reflowed the solder on the pilot lamp connector. Now the amp works beautifully. Whew! Glad it wasn't something serious.
