• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Prima Donna or understudy?

Just stumbled across this on the tube and was wondering whether this is the real Spot or it's Custom Shop understudy. Sounds great! But then again a phonebook strung with spaghetti would sound good in Joe's hands.

Not sure which guitar it is, but it’s a dead ringer for my old TB replica... :2cool

Thanks for posting:2cool

Just thinking.....if you put an appropriate wig on the bass player he'd be pretty much a dead ringer for Bill Nighy.

Where and when was that performance? :hmm[/QUO

PBS has been playing the last couple weeks portions of the Summer 2018 release of Joe's British Blues Explosion DVD/CD which this segment is from . JBLP Player is playing thru 2 HP Twins, 2 Bassmans, and a vintage Marshall stack.

Didn’t know there was a Spot imposter.
I remember reading somewhere that Joe commissioned Gibson Custom to make him a copy of one of his 59s to take to Europe so he could leave his valuable original at home.
