• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I have seen this one on Carter's Insta I think. The top is really ugly, looks like a bad refin.

Whoever refinished that guitar should be taken out back and flogged. This almost constitutes cruel and unusual punishment.

Would be interesting to hear a in hand report , one thing this is a crap photo with the typical dark background really looks like a poor refinish . IMO the photo is so poor & is the standard , owning a camera does not make one a photographer .

Even if the finish is original, anyone paying $325K for a plaintop, especially these days, is out of their mind...

Hi everyone!

It's been too long. We are experiencing some strange days here in Belgium ('lockdown light'), but the good news is that I now have some free time on my hands. So here I am with a new post.

These two guitars were displayed at the Vintage Veenendaal guitar show last september. The dealer was 'real vintage-guitar'.

The first one was a 1959 nicknamed 'Paulette' and was refinished by Florian Jaeger (this guitar was already mentioned here before).

The second one was from 1958!

Stay healthy, stay safe and stay inside! :dude:

Paulette was listed on Reverb by Sweetspot in Germany. I don't know if RealVintageGuitars are the same. I saw it too in Veenendaal. I like what Florian has done to it, and I think I know the guitar from before when it was for sale in Amsterdam, and it looks much better now.

Price seems steep for the issues however: https://reverb.com/item/33129174-1959-gibson-les-paul-standard-paulette

A couple of bursts popped up on GBase via SPC Guitars....

First one is a '60, and has already been discussed here previously- appears to regularly go on/off sale.

(previously mentioned here: https://www.lespaulforum.com/forum/showthread.php?200616-1960-Burst)

Second one is a '59.

Anyone know anything about this dealer? I'm guessing it's an individual/collector. I'm genuinely interested in finding out more about these, so I could use the help. Feel free to message me. Thanks!

I believe his name is Sean Cummings.

Google "sean cummings spc guitars". Alot of interesting results.
