My Pro Jr. was having problems. It was cutting out and having really bad static fizziness after the amp warmed up. The tubes also looked like they cut out intermittently. So i took apart the chassis and re soldered the connections from the PCB and the tube sockets and that did not help. So I purchased new tube sockets because that seemed to be the problem.

(having problems using the attachment plug in)

The fix was replacing the plastic base tube sockets with ceramic ones i bought off of tube depot. The connection was better and the problem seems to be fixed.
I thought I would just post about it because I know that this is a common problem in the Fender Hot Rod Series (III) amps. Hopefully they fix this in the 2018 Series IV amps

Pre-Series III Hot Rod Deluxes can have that problem, too. Mine did.

It's a REALLY easy fix, though. Just remount and dress the solder joints around the power tube sockets.

(WARNING: Learn how to safely discharge and double-check the state of the capacitors before attempting this! You are dealing with lethal voltages.)

I actually replaced the brittle "environmentally friendly" solder with good ol' Kester 44. Also, I added some of those rubber "vibration absorbing" bands around the 6L6's, since those power tubes are right behind what can be a pretty angry 12" speaker. It travels, gigs, and plays great now.
