• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I installed a nice 5 ply black pickguard and a new Gibson style bracket. Next step, a Frequensator tailpiece.

Nice look!

Here's my '01 Epi / Peerless Casino, wearing a home-made Brazilian RW guard left over from a previous project.

Not a fan of the Epiphoneys in general but when they get it right, it's great. I tried some Casinos at the HOG years ago, expecting the same disappointing let down and was blown away! They were Bigsby models and were superb in every way. Just flat out excellent guitars. Those two look really nice fellas!!:wow:salude:hank

I went the other way. Took off the guard and installed a Bigsby. Also put on some Pat. Pend. Grovers.

The Bigsby was a HUGE improvement. More sustain and resonance.

I'd really like to have one of those in sunburst.
I'm assuming yours in an Elitist as well?

The vintage sunburst finish is nice, I like it. Mine is a ''poor'' chinese Casino.
I will install a Frequensator tailpiece. Better tuners, Switchcraft selector, CTS pots and a set of Lindy Fralin P90 should be fine.

Mine is a poor Chinese guitar, too. I bought it to save wear and tear on a vintage 125TDC.

Fralins made a HUGE difference. I prefer using sealed pots in f-hole guitars, though - no problems down the road with dust. I put Bourns type 95 in the Casino. I also put Schaller ST-6K tuners (10 mm tulips) and a Tusq nut on it.

I did replace the plastic Fralin dogear covers with black German silver ones, to shield it a bit.

I like the guitar very much now.

Hey Mr. EFLOW,

I love the upgraded look of sophistcation induced by the additon of that high quality new pickguard you have installed on your Casino.

I myself have just become the owner of an '83 WR (Japan), and am so far really digging it, but do not care for the cheap look of the original white pickguard.

So...how can I purchase that pickguard...can you forward a link?

Thanking you in advance.

That looks great! My Casino has a bunch of mods done by a prior owner, including a fifth pot (master volume), and its location makes a pickguard a no-go.
