I'd say conversion all day long. Offset seam on the top gives it away

Was converted i the 70s. That's Michael Woods. He played that guitar on Midnight Special in 1976:

I think we forget how many hits they had in the 70's. I remember most of these played on the bus ride to school. Great band. Yes he had some great licks and tone. Cool guitar.
