    Gil Yaron Les Paul WOW!!!

Had the opportunity last night to play one of these and I could not believe my ears! Absolutely the best Les Paul experience of my life. Honestly, it's my new gauge on what a Les Paul should be. With that said, please know that I've never spent enough time with a real burst to know the difference.

This guitar was effortless to play. The tone inspired some riffs I didn't know I had in me. It had that 3D sound going on. What a treat...

I was seriously considering ordering a LP from Gil when I heard he received the cease and desist order from Gibson and no longer makes them. I currently have a Bartlett Retrospec on order instead. I decided on the Retrospec instead of a LP replica because I wanted something a little bit different.

    Glad you enjoyed the experience.

I brokered a deal and traded off several guitars to make this Gil Yaron acquisition. I'm calling it the best electric guitar I've ever played. Among them are a several 57 Goldtop's and a late model year 55 GT with original TOM.

    I played it today!

It is the best guitar Iv'e ever played.

It has that last 10 to 15% that people talk about.

On deep bends it sings, WOW!

Butt I'm not completely ruint, mine still sounds pretty good.

    Jimmy, Thanks Jerry

Very nice would love to see one in hand .
Ive never confused owning a bunch of high end gear with being some kind of a guitar player I'm a hack and I love guitars !

The myth :The most disturbing thing about buying a fake Les Paul is how my research after the purchase is received by Forum members ??? 2020

The Myth: Neat wiring layouts always equate to great-sounding amps.

Hope that the red is not true in the photo. It sure doesn't look like what you would expect of a vintage faded cherry sunburst Les Paul.

The color is way off in that pic, in person it looks alot more like pearly gates
from the picks of pearly gates that I have seen.

The top is very 3d also in person, its stunning!

Thats why we buy these play these then trade , I really think the Yaron is something we all dream of and as you full well know you can find another Allman . How do you gage a brand if you never step up & try something else . Cant wait to hear you response to this ultra cool guitar !

I know keep saying this , Rooster fish will post this weekend keep your eyes open !

Don’t know—those Duanes are tough to find—- but I’m ok with it, really.

Hopefully it gets there ok. I do think the one thing I like about the GYs is that you can argue they are not a copy or a replica because he uses his own name in the head stock— or I guess someone could find a way to argue about that but you can’t ever say it’s a “fake” because it doesnt say Gibson on it...

its as fake as a PRS les paul guitar as far as i”M concerned...... its not a Gibson but its a les paul style guitar...

I just came across this old thread. I am blessed to own 6 of Gil's Replica guitars from his days in Isreal. Every one of them is absolutely amazing and a joy to play. Anytime I have had a friend over to the house to check them out, it is always fun to see their reaction
