• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

These were made in '96, I believe only 24 were made specifically for M&T Marburg in Germany.

I was "this close" to buying the actual guitar used in the movie (a total fave of mine), as I have an extensive collection of all things TTYD but at setup day at NAMM/Anaheim (when Rick Gembar had said I could probably get it), darn ol' T. Hanks himself came and autographed it...

I had to sell this to cover a business expense and tried like hell to find another one.. but no luck. This thing screamed in that traditional Jr. way

This was '02-'03, pretty close to Winter NAMM. Made its way to Elgin before disappearing into someone's collection. This is a one-off proto by USA division. Full Korina body and neck, ebony FB. 496R & 500T pups.

Custom Shop was FURIOUS that USA would think of coming out with these and pressed HJ to quash them before going into production.

This CONFIRMS the all my conspiracies about our lack of affordable Korina Gibsons!!! :laugh2:

The man is clearly keeping us down. For shame.

Do you have any more info/sources about the shenanigans?

I might as well go right to the oddest......... A pair of 1987 20/20 basses, designed by Ned Steinberger & a 1985 Futura. Both of these instruments should have ended up being headless designs, but marketing didn't like the idea & we ended up with confusing but unusual guitars...............
