• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Changing pickups on a LP Standard to SD-18s with no Quick Connect

Hi all
The LP Standard 2013 has a Circuit board, coil tap pots with 4 pin connectors on the Burstbucker Pros.I want to try a Seymour Duncan set (SH-18) and they come with 4 conductor cable, but obviously no QC pin.
I don't mind cutting and using the original pins for the SDs, but I'm stumped as to the wiring.
The colour code doesn't match at all.
Is there a Gibson to SD wiring diagram that may help?
Or any other suggestions?
Cheers

Swap out the whole electronics package for better ones. There's a lot of threads on different pot values and cap types - and you can even find some that are ready wired, just solder on your pickup leads and good to go.
