Great Vintage Vibe and Tone! (Stock #1089)
The 2014 model R8s will go down as one of the best years for R8s. They are special instruments and it is becoming increasingly difficult to find good examples of these, especially ones with nice tops. The top on this has a nice peekaboo flame that changes from most angles, like vintage top do. It also has great mineral flecking and grain pattern. The lemonburst color really accentuates the vintage vibe on this top. The tone sounds straight out of 58. It is a very resonant guitar. This one has a very dynamic tone that responds well to different pick attack. It has some good subtlety, but can be in your face rocknroll when you dig in. The neck is a nice chunky C with excellent playability. This one is in excellent condition.
