• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I have a '62 Deluxe and love it. Not going cheap these days. F-Hole's comment about that Gibson amp has me curious...:hmm

Cool, I thought I was whistling into the wind.......

Gibson GA18T - 14watts but plenty loud enough for small to middle sized venues. My 59 is main gigging amp. Great tone and tremolo and works great with vintage Fender and Gibson guitars.

Vintage and not. Reworked Octal. You pick the coverings, head or combo format. 60 year old iron, chassis. Vintage glass. Awesome tones. Inexpensive. My favorite of ALL my amps. Period. At Mars Specialist.

Have you looked into old Ampegs? Gemini 1 and 2. Jet. Reverbrocket. Great sounding old amps at low prices.

The all tube 60s Vox Cambridge reverb is a great amp. Tube rectified, 2 EL84s, reverb and tremolo. Stock with a 10", I put a Celestion Blue 12". Love it.

I also love my GDS 18 Watt clone, 1959 Rickenbacker M-11 (very similar to Fender Deluxe) and Princeton Reverb!

I'm pretty sure the Vox Berkeley is the piggyback version of the Cambridge Reverb (I mentioned above)

Do you have any experience of the GA18T vs a GA40?

I've always linked from a Photobucket account. The URL even appears in the block, but the pic doesn't appear. It's the same procedure that has worked for me countless times here. It works at MLP and Lefty Frets where I'm also a member.

Let's see if it works for someone else.
