• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

The ES-330, Lennon Casino and the Elite/Elitist Casino's all have a 1/2" Spruce Expansion plate under the top. This is for mounting the ABR-1 & pickups. I don't think the Chinese or Korean Casino's have this plate. You should be able to mount humbuckings on a Casino w/o and issues (other than a couple of holes for the P-90 covers on each side. I have a friend who places a 1.25" dowel between the top & back and after the glue dries he drills holes for the Gibson bushings and mounts a Stoptail in place of the trapeze and drops in a set of humbuckings. Best of both the 335 & 330!

@Handwerk : shall I conclude that humbuckers can be installed in a 330 without damaging the body ?( I already have got a 330 59 reissue & plan to get anotehr one to put a set of Tom Homles in it)

i don't know. but i have seen incidents of some doing that. also i think there is a frail p90 or 92 which is shaped like a p90, no?
