• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Here is Bob demonstrating how other manufacturer's fuzzes work with the Gainmaster and the 10n. The pedal is the Mark IV Fuzz by ProAnalog Devices.

I love how he has captured some great Jimi Hendrix tones and vibe--so awesome. Really enjoying these videos--thank you.

He is very talented to say the least! He builds great amps and makes them sound great with his great guitar playing. Quite interesting that there are only 2 knobs on his newest amp--have you ever played thru one of them 'Cream Fan''? Really enjoying these viseos.

Yes, I was down visiting him a couple of weeks ago. Brought a couple of guitars and my pedalboard and had a party. His philosophy is to build amps that don't copy Fenders or Marshalls. He has no interest in being a typical amp clone builder. I've known him since we both lived in Boston back in the 80s and we actually partnered in 1990 to build what became the Shawn Lane amp. This new amp is a tribute to that, but in a non-stereo format, and utilizing the Gainmaster as the floating front end. I have three of his older amps. I used to have one of the Shawn Lane amps, but sold it a long time ago. I regret that. So, I've got my eye on a 10n because it really is the best amp Bob has designed, distilling all the things he's learned over the last thirty years. It sounds warm and articulate at extremely low volumes, volumes where your Fenders and Marshalls would sound thin and harsh. But if you want it to be loud--watch out!

Here is my pedalboard with Gainmaster:

My two heads with 2 x 12 cab with original Greenbacks. The top amp is a 50-watt KT-66 head, which is what I mostly use at home.

Here is the Gjika Super Tweed. It only LOOKS like a tweed, but is in fact a 20-watt single-ended amp powered by a single KT-66. This is my grab and go amp.

You're very welcome. One of these days, I'll post a clip of my 50-watt head to show that the 10n is no fluke. Bob really knows what he's doing. Now, if I could just acquire a LITTLE more talent.

I would love to hear your amps! That would be great! The videos you shared are all great and he makes them even better with some great guitar playing--what kind of Strat is he playing? I have really enjoyed this thread--thank you again! PS: I would also love to hear your 'Fool SG' as I am a true love of SG`s due to the fact of the picture of Clapton with his on the cover of 'Live Cream Vol 2'. There are some great tones from Clapton and his SG on the 'Fresh Live Cream' DVD--I`m sure you own it.

All the Strats you see Bob playing were hand-built by him. He likes bigger necks and his are 1.75" at the nut.

Some Cream at Ultra-Low Volume. You can hear the pick on the strings.

And here's another vid where we spoof the Clapton Winterland Interview and I talk about how the guitar came to be:
