• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Where are they now...

The "Nashville Now" guitar, one of Greg Rich's creations.

Where is she now?

My buddy Dennis posing with Rudolf Schenker's double-neck V shortly after it was born.

Where is it now?

I once heard it was on display at the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame.

Can anyone here confirm that?

CONFIRMED!!

Me and my wife took one of those last minute road trips.
She has a cousin in Cleveland, and I've been wanting to
see the Rock Hall. It's a great place, and the "V" is there!

Just another black LP Standard?

Not after my buddy J.T. Riboloff outfit it with a B-Bender.

This one went to Joe Perry.

Hey Randy!

Wonder if this the same one?

I see him pulling on it and hear some warble..:hmm
Color and knobs match, but Joe could have had a few black Standards..

Keep them coming!

I don't think so Kris. I'm not seeing the extra hardware around the
top end pin for the B-bender. You can sorta see it in the original pic.
I know they could have been easily changed, but we used chrome
Schallers and a blank TRC on the original also.

Very cool idea and very cool pics!

Since we're asking, did you build my Korina V: G 082?

Sorry, didn't find that number in my records.

I have G 136 and G 138, built in November '84.

I keep telling myself that one of these days I'm
going to enter all my numbers into a database
for quick reference, but I can never find the time.

Congrats on a great guitar!!

I have a guitar that the fellows featured in this thread may have had there hands on. It's "prototype" of the Victory MV-X guitar. The Kahler was added post factory. The pots date to 79 on this guitar with a "Gibson Prototype" stamp on the back of the headstock with a ser# 06. From what I understand the guitar line made it's debut in 83. For a humbucker guitar with coil taps, it does a convincing strat tone.

Nice guitar!

My first record for an MV-X is December of '81. My guess is that your guitar was made in Kalamazoo sometime prior to that, possibly '79 ~ '80 as the pot codes suggest. I doubt if there was even a prototype stamp in Nashville at that time.

For those that may not know, MV-X stands for: MV = Multi Voice, X = 10 (5 position switch times 2 sounds each with the coil tap)

Thanks for sharing!

OMG, that is THE youngest pic of JT I've seen! We hung out a bit while I worked in Elgin Strings. What an absolute gem he was.

Last I saw/talked to him was in Frankfurt in the mid 2000's and we were talking about his new life in Indonesia.
