• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Why not? It worked well for the Marshall and Fender amps here :salude. I have noticed more vintage Vox activity here in the past week so I will get this started with my '63 AC-10 Twin. I bought this amp after I heard the AC-10 Twin used on the first or second Doug and Pat Show on YouTube a few years ago. I was not disappointed :dude::dude::dude: I am curious about how the AC-10 compares tone wise to the vintage AC-15?

AC15 not sure what year. Think it's '63. I removed the original ceramic blue speakers and shoved a set of original Bulldog Blues in (as you can see). The ohmage was wrong but it sounded wicked! I now have a pair of '60's Goodmans alnicos in the amp. The cones were flappy so I had them reconed to 16ohms each. Really happy with how they are sounding. Virtually no difference that I can hear from the Vox Blues.

You'll note the case handles on the AC30 in the above photo. The amp was good but the cabinet was in a right state. Spent a few months restoring that one a few years back now. Here are the results....

I was thinking you VOX freaks out there might like to see an original AC30 copper panel up against a repro. Worth noting as one doesn't see many off the amps these days. These are non top boost panels.

The top panel is the original. The repro lettering is smaller and everything looks a little too neat....
