Unfortunately, if you're a huge fan of pink sparkle (and likely a member of a Cinderella cover band), this one is already taken. Wayne Green took a couple of shots of it for our viewing pleasure just before it was released into the wild. Enjoy....Kevin at Gibson Custom.

Hi there,
just registered with the forum, and I'm excited to have bought the next serial number (HS5 40027) 54 LP P90 Historic Select Silver Violet Metallic via ebay.
The only difference I know from S5 40026 is it has a black pickguard and only 8lb.
It looked very different in the advertised color- lighting, it's a bit of a gamble but I already have my 2000 R7 with a Murphied Gold Top so I'm happy for the difference.
Let's hope this 54 HS is a great player, weighing in at a lightweight 8lb. I'm betting it is.

Probably be another week or so before I get it, it's in Australian Customs.

The back is black, like a Black Beauty, with Factory Grover heads, and the Historic Select Switch cover plaque (also comes with a plain switch cover).

Whoa! Interesting! :salude

Here's hoping customs gets it to you as quickly as possible. :)

Whatever the case, there is certainly something special about this early year in the Les Paul Model's history and Gibson Custom Shop created this '54 Reissue to perfectly recapture the look, feel, and tone of the originals. forpcjiofi.local.html
