• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Any vintage ES-355 love?

Here's a photo of one of my main squeezes, my '63 ES-355TD, factory mono and stop tailpiece, per the Gibson ledgers shipped 11/21/63..it sounds and plays great with that extra bite ebony boards seem to bring! Hope to hear from other 355 fans. :peace2

Does your 355 have the classic "Mickey Mouse ears?" For some reason, I can't tell from the picture.

Killer guitar!
Does it have:
1) PAFs or PATNos?
2) Big neck or thin?
3) Varitone cut-out?
4) Original Grovers?

What does the writing/stamp on the orange label say?

Thanks!
I wonder if it's the extra binding that makes the MM ears hard to see sometimes? Especially up close.

not any but much love for vintage ESes. This used to be mine, had to sell it unfortunately, 61 stoptail ES-335, 2 PAFs and shipped one day before my birth in 1961 according to the ledger, Gibson mailed me upon my request. Great service BTW.

I hope to own one again one day. I'd love to have a blonde, but a nice and rich cherry will do the trick as well

'69 Walnut with stop tail piece added. I've owned it since new, put the speed knobs on when I was a kid and can't get 'em off :) The mini switch in the pick guard is a phase switch.

Oh yeah. This 60 Mono is the one that finally kicked my Burst out the door. The pickups are untouched double whites measuring 8.38k bridge, 8.24k neck.

That thing is gorgeous! What's the neck profile like on it?
