• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Bringing back an old thread....

How can a 1959 have a T FON? I thought it had to begin with S? I have 2 ES-330 ( TD and TDN) that have S FON and a bound neck 335 with a T 7xxx xx fon. Was told it was a 59 but T means '58? My serial number on the 335 is a 1959 A 296XX

It's not uncommon for Gibsons in that era to have "mismatched" FONs and serial numbers. Often a guitar was begun for example in 58 with a T FON stamp then finished in 59 with a 59 serial number.

Just caught up with this thread in our lockdown time..........what a beauty Michael.....:salude

At some stage I'll get a 335 or 330(love the P90 sound) but it will be a CS and not vintage I'm afraid.
Was planning to come to the October Vintage show this year but as it stands with the virus and our borders being closed etc that may not happen,
maybe 2021.......we'll see.
Like the way you guys network when you're thinking about a guitar. Walking around with Bill and Frank and talking with all of you at the '11 Arlington show.......I learnt so much:2cool
