• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Possibly firewood and scattered random parts -- didn't McLaughlin say it fell over in an accident and split in two?

Not so...........long rumored that was what happened.Insurance CO. got it and sold it and it was repaired and was for sale out in CA back in 84/85..........I know of the guy that played it and it was selling for 2K. In 1994 it showed up in London South Kensington at a Christie's Auction were it sold for over 8K...........it even had the "Mahavishnu" stenciled flightcase. Oh yeah its out there! I actually have that very catalog from the Christies auction sale 6496 lot # 285. The STONES are on the front cover of the catalog as some of their items were being auctioned as well. Be cool to have a current photo/s of it.
