• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Gorgeous guitars! Man, there's just something about the mojo of a loved TV junior or special. I really appreciate the pics.

I just grabbed this 1961 TV Yellow Les Paul Junior. Pretty darkly ambered. One question I have is about another Jr I have: was white grain filler only used on guitars that were getting the TV color? I have a 57 (that I think is a 55) that was stripped long ago, but has white grain filler and black knobs. I've always wondered if it was TV.

A nice '57 that I just bought from the original owner's daughter in L.A. What a guitar! I sold my beautiful '55 after I played this one. What a guitar!

Here's a nice closeup of a 1957 Jr. Cool grain exposed.
