• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

9-6192 would most likely be a 2006 R9

9-951019 :hmm

Are you sure it's not 9-51019 ? if so that would most likely be a 2005 R9

Pics would help confirming 100%

I hope this helps :salude

No, that is the correct number. but - you are correct. The certificate is stamped Model LPR-9 Serial Number 951019 where as the other is written Model LPR-9 Serial 951019.
Thanks for helping me to actually 'READ' what i was looking at.
The followup question is what if any difference is there between them? They appear to look the same, feel the same etc. Were all builds of the LPR-9 in 05 and 06 the same?

Historic builds from 2005-2006 are pretty much the same, but early 2006 Gibson began using the Plek machine for fret finishing and I think the Custom Authentic finish morphed into the official VOS finish. I believe sometime in Jan-Feb 2006 Gibson began using the Plek machine. You can send a quick email to Gibson Custom Shop to find out what serial numbers began the plekking process in 2006.
