Mike, I believe that's a Melody Maker.

Is it?

Could you please inform me why you think so, you see something i dont ,
maybe it its obvious?

It has binding on the neck , Gibson pearl logo etc....

Was originally polaris white.

What kind of MM do you think it is?

Nice group you have here..I had a '72 SG Pro, and have a '72 SGI and a '76 SG Standard. Big fan of that era...though I hate to be "that guy", I am more than 100% certain the FrankenSG body has to be a '73-mid '74..and here's why..
The neck join is at the post late '71 location, an '84 neck was still built with that body style, so it would fit up..a '70 body would have either the "swimming pool" routes or the large rounded routes with an obvious channel for the wiring..but has the pickups located in the '73-'74 location..a '70's pickup routes would not have the neck pickup butted up against the neck, but '73-'74 would...also, those are clearly '73+ cutaway bevels.
Still pretty sweet IMO, but in no way a '70 body..they just didn't make 'em like that then.:salude
