• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

These are absolutely stunning boys. This is one I missed the boat, no doubt because I was tapped from whatever came before it, Bloomfield, Moore.

But for my taste, the Perry's might be the best run of tops Gibson produced of the signiture runs.

I have VOS 002. Before I post it, I'd like to avoid the controversy that was experienced on the other forum. I've tweeked mine a bit.

Here is what she looked like when I got her:

And here is what she looks like today (I like how the original looked in the '70s):

Here is what has been changed:
HM RDS
3x '50s speed knobs
1x '50's bonnet knob
'50s gold tailpiece
'50s ABR-1
early '60s centralab pots
Throbak SLE 101-Plus MXV w/ vintage long magnets
Bartlett M69 Pickup Rings
'50s P-90 pickguard cut for humbuckers
'50s switch ring tip
'50s switch nut
'50s switch tip
'50s vintage TRC
'50s Pat Pend grovers

The aging was not meant to be exactly like the guitar is today. I didn't want the neck volume wear to be as much as it is, but to have it started and allow myself to further age the guitar...

Here is my VOS 135, absolutely love this guitar. The neck is just perfect, looks awesome and I actually love its tone, slightly lower output than my other guitars, sounds incredible through plexis. To me it is a classic rock tone monster.
She weighs about 3,95kg which i find perfect.
