    Gorgeous guitars guys

Nobody shoots a sunburst like Gibson did back in the day. Do they just look that good because they have aged/faded a bit, or were they just done that beautifully?

None of them are museum pieces, but damn they sound good.
'67 refin 330 with modern parts, '65 345 that has some weird mojo going on after the varitonectomy and renecked late 60's 335 with PAT number pups.

    Re: Love ES's

Here's my early 1959 ES345 with black Varitone ring - and Varitone fully intact. The original tuners have been changed to Schallers, the orange label is long gone, and the ears are positively bulbous!

The other guitar is a 1995 R9 with PAFs from a 1961/2 SG. The amps you see are a "'64" Blockhead JTM 45 on top of a 1971 (? - no plastic corners and metal handles) Marshall B 4x12 cab and a 1965 Fender Super Reverb.

Note: (One of) the correct way(s) to deal with the stereo feature of the 345 and lose no tone whatsoever: The cable I use is a stereo to TWO monos. I like the OOP so I run them into the same channel of the Fender. I have further modified the amps that I own that have a single input to a stereo input that behaves and functions identically to the two inputs on one channel of a Fender. Again, there is absolutely no loss of tone and I can switch from LP to 345 without any fuss what so ever. The amp modification cost $25.

(I loves me some Varitone! I use many of the settings; the 345 is a funk machine!)

(I am able to run TWO wha pedals - one for each pickup of the 345 with this cord set-up. It's awesome.)

Thanks! I love that Bigsby. B7's feel stiff to me. As long as you can get a decent break angle, I prefer this one - I think it's a B6.

Mike, I like them a little bit more than LPs.
If I liked LPs a little less they would be gone.....to get more 335s, which I do indeed want.

    My current two below;

'03 '59 Historic, likely the favorite guitar of any type in my almost 50 years at doing this.

My user name used to be red59dot. This is that guitar. Perhaps my favorite of all of them that have passed through my hands. OK maybe the "watermelon" red 59 345 is tied. Both are now owned by LPF members.

Well, I've had many models over the years, but the closest thing I have now is my '62 Epi Sheraton. Never took enough good photos of my 330's, 335/345/355's, among others, but I have photos of a few of the cooler ES guitars I've had in the past...

great examples, guys. I love the 62 black from tooold. Badass and beautiful. I love the dot markers and the flowerpot inlay soooooo much, desperately missing my former 61 2 PAF ES-335

    ES-333.
Changed since these pictures were taken:
RS/Fralin PAFs with slightly aged covers.
    Aged TonePros aluminum tailpiece.
Amber reflector knobs- can't decide which I like better.

Also has RS pots, Luxe BBs and 50's wiring.
It's nice to keep playing with components without wire or fishing line.

Here are some better pics of my two 64s. Tone Pros bridge on the sunburst because the original was warped. Otherwise, they are both original.

I love this guitar, P90's are alive, and the 59 profile neck is just perfect as far as I'm concerned.
