Currently up on gbase, a 1969 ES-150D. This is the first one I've ever seen in cherry:

There was a lefty in Viceroy Brown at Guitar Emporium for literally years, but beyond that I've only seen walnut and blonde. The cherry looks great. Black would be good too.

This just turned up on the Gibson forums. The serial number is from 1963, and the label says ES-355. Another mystery guitar, and I love it. I actually fantasized about something like this and did a drawing of something almost exactly like this back in the 1980's. The unfortunate thing here is that the guitar has been modded and a bit abused (head/neck break). Here's the Gibson thread: http://forum.gibson.com/index.php?/topic/119581-weird-1962-gibson-es355td/

Anybody ever seen anything like this?

The owner is still trying to get the body depth measured. I suspect it's 1 3/4". In addition to the double florentine cutaways, I wonder if anybody has seen a 355 with both inputs on the top, rather than on the rim.

A couple of red ones, 1964 335, 1962 LP/SG and 1959 355 with her sisters from the same year.

After seeing J45's pictures of his red hollowbodies in another thread, I was inspired to start a thread on these red beauties. Please add any pictures you may have of factory red Gibsons from the 50s and 60s.

I'm not really talking about the common examples like cherry SGs and ES-335s, I'm talking about models that don't usually come in red, or custom examples like Sparkling Burgandy, Cardinal Red...

I'll start with a few:

This thread has really strayed. :wah

At least they are all cool guitars. :salude

Just came across a clip from this video on a tv ad tonight, so I looked it up on Youtube. The music isn't for me, but you don't see a guitar like this every day (custom Super 400C in sparkling burgundy):

Besides the cool custom Gibson, the video also contains a pretty bitchin pedal steel solo. It's a good watch even if you aren't a fan of late 60's cosmopolitan "country" music.

Brian.
Not really a "good watch(/listen)" for me, but to each their own. And note that I didn't say "Guys, make sure you turn the sound off when you watch this one". :##

That's an awesome fiddle! :2cool

I'm not big on traps and sold a gorgeous Herb Ellis 165 because of the trap but I'd definitely try my best to cope for that one. :yah

Here's a photo that a friend sent me last July. He took this shot at a show in the Philly area. Anybody know anything about this Switchmaster? Refinned? It's a '58, and that's about all I know. Don't know who was selling it, or the price.
