• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

That was an amazing restoration! Congrats to you for getting to own such a beauty, congrats to Kim & Co. at Historic Makeovers for an epic project and thanks for sharing the process here, I think this may be the coolest thread ever at the Les Paul Forum.

Thanks Steve.
I feel so privileged to own her.
I've really spent the last 20+ years playing original '50's Fenders.
One could likely sell this baby and own an original Broadcaster, or '57 Mary Kaye Strat with change, but I've come to the realization that the tone from this thing just can't be replaced.
Kim and crew really did a fantastic job! :salude

Is this the one that's for sale with the naked guy playing it?

Yeah, the un(sanitary) Burst :psmile

I wish you got to hold on to that one a little longer, HRMT, such a great looking guitar with a monster top:3zone

haha!
Yeah, too hot to wear clothes here in Bali.
Strangely, the guitar has developed an unusual rub mark on the back, around the lower bout!:2cool :dude:
Some final pics for the archives!
It was a fun ride!

I strongly recommend that you don't do this! :wah
That number is likely another Burst, and duplicate serial numbers have already caused confusion and trouble for decades now.

Since you don't know the original number, I would suggest a number that could never be mistaken for a different original 60 Gibson guitar. :)

Tom was correct, and 0 1477 "Betsy" did surface a couple of years ago, and was featured as "Burst of the Month", and is now registered on Bursterial.com.

Great job by Kim LaFleur and the HM Team!

Les Paul 0 0975 is now back in the USA. I have been asked to sell it. Move over 335's, there's a new kid in town (Kent, CT).

Looking around in the www I found this thread.

I am happy to say I am the new owner of this Burst!!!!! It sounds amazing. I play it every day.

I got it from Pete Trauth at AJs Music in NV.
