• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Yes sir he does..and here's the explanation, expressed through quantum mechanics, of why The Beatles chose Casinos over equally available Gibsons :hmm

Scattering_equations.jpg

:lol
This theory was deduced in 1973 through the little-known "Schroedinger's Casino" experiment.

Dire Wolf..Thanks !
For you. Macca with his trusty Vintage (Gibson) Ukelele..
given to him by the late great George Harrison.

Great thread.

There are times when McCartney rambles on a bit too long and too often between songs but overall I admire the guy and especially what he's done for the world of music. Not directly because of him, but because of the Beatles I probably never would have become so interested in music. The voice isn't what it used to be but still better than most and the energy is still present; hope he keeps on for many years to come.

His Epiphone has always sounded great; great pic as well.

Great pics, thanks for sharing them.

I'm sure after 50+ years Sir Paul has figured out how to keep his strap on his instrument LOL.

He is arguably the greatest pop artist the world has ever seen, not to mention a fine example of a good person, and is a living treasure IMO.

Guitar Whiskey..
Gotta agree to disagree. It is rambling with a purpose.
Trust me. The voice is still the voice. Everyone here at LPF is pretty good with numbers IIRC.Follow me here..
Try not going hoarse after nearly 5 hours on stage, per show. 1-2 hours of sound check, an 18 song average. Then approximately 3 hours (a 38 song set list average) per show, per night. Singing 50+ songs a pop. Dunno about y'all, but my hat is "off" to the man, the myth, the living legend that is: "Sir" Paul MCartney. Think about it.. 68 years of age playing to packed arenas around the world in 2010 . All of us baby boomers looking for the fountain of youth . Id say it is firmly embedded "in" him. His musical spirit is contagious despite the Paul haters and his worst critics. At the end of the day, he makes many of us feel that we are all on that "long and winding road" together . Or as he and John Lennon put it so eloquently..."The love you take.. is equal to... the love you make.." :jim nuff said.
