• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

More pics!!

Sorry, I haven't had the camera out since I snapped a few photos right after it arrived. My Lilypix account is pretty jammed--I have to buy more space if I'm going to post more.

There are a couple other photos here, but they're just variations on what I've already posted.

And here are photos still hosted on the website of the NY dealer who sold it to the Brit. Can't hyperlink these photos. Note the different case in these pix.

I don't know if it's typical for this era, but the neck is gigantic, with pretty big shoulders. Much bigger shoulders than on my '52 Gibsons.

The guy who sold me Tex owns a '51 blonde ES-300. He's not selling it yet, but he churns through guitars, so I suspect it's only a matter of time. Photo at the link below.

Like this '50? (if there were an emoticon for a broken record, I'd use it...) :)

So after owning this guitar for almost a decade, I put it up for consignment at Carter Vintage. It sold surprisingly quickly. Surfing around on Instagram, I seem to have found its new owner . . . Joe Bonamassa! Glad it seems to have come to rest at Nerdville. Along with the other guitar I sent the Carters, my 1960 ES-5. (The subject of a separate post.)
