• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Seems like that bs come up every once in awhile. If Gibson’s fret formula was wrong, then the 12th fret wouldn’t be an octave higher.

guitars in general have tuning “issues” only because of tempered scale. Not Gibson using the wrong math.

Sometimes there are bum strings right out of a brand new pack . This happened to me way back .

Yes, it's rare these days but it does happen from time to time. I couldn't believe that any modern manufactured strings could be any less capable let alone produce the level of tuning anomalies I encountered. Strung to pitch, even open chords were out of tune and untuneable. I would name the budget brand but I'm unsure of protocol etc etc.

We live and learn..
