I've got stock a CS Ebony LP (as soon as I find the right one and buy it), with only the gold p/u covers removed. I'm open to swapping the p/u's in the future, but not intent on it.
I don't know that I'd ever do this, but I'm a Mick Ronson fan. I understand that his guitar was just a LP Custom with the ebony removed from the front, and the maple wood refinished in natural.
I LOVE the look of the LP I don't have yet. I don't really know if I'd ever want to, but if I DID go ahead and have somebody (professional) strip the ebony finish, would I find a single piece of furniture grade maple that could be refinished and look like Ronson's guitar (wood)?
