The 2007 Historic Reissue Les Pauls seem to consistently be exceptional sounding.
It seems Gibson had some very toneful wood and the craftmanship really stood out. I noticed that a lot of them have a neck angle that results in a very low set bridge. In my opinion, this helps make a Les Paul play and sound extra good.
All of these things made '07 a benchmark year.
The good news is we have been going through our vault at GuitarSale and have a number of '07s still available.
